Domestic violence is a serious matter and the safety of North Carolina citizens and families is a priority in our judicial system. The laws governing domestic violence may be found in N.C. General Statutes Chapter 50B. A victim of domestic violence may seek protection through a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO).
At Midtown Divorce & Family Law, we represent both victims of domestic violence as well as defend those who have been accused of domestic violence. If you need to have a DVPO for 50B filed for an act of domestic violence that has been committed against you or you have had a DVPO or 50B entered ex-parte and have been served with a notice of a 10 day return hearing, contact our office to discuss representation.
